TAC has completed the handover of Hoole Lane in Banks, Lancashire, with the 29-home site for One Vision marking this year’s third completion so far. Contractors AGB Projects stepped in in difficult circumstances to complete the job, and successfully saw the project to conclusion in just eight weeks.
AGB has also taken over to complete work on the development at the Notre Dame site in North Liverpool. Work is again accelerating on the project for Liverpool Mutual Homes, and expected to be completed by May 2018.
Over in Southport, the site at Windsor Road is progressing well, ahead of its scheduled completion in October 2017. The site of the former London Hotel will see 19 new homes built for One Vision, and AGB has again picked up as the lead contractor on site. Much of the internal work has now been completed, with roofs, windows and doors completed across the development, the focus will turns to external works, including drainage, parking and gardens.
Our second development in Southport, over at Folkestone Road, should also be completed by the end of 2017. Our first project with Chorley Community Housing – part of the Adactus Group – has seen AGB Projects step in to carry out remedial work, and the overall project has been scheduled for completion by the end of the year.
Finally, ten homes at Cassino Road in Huyton are almost complete. The development for Knowsley Housing Trust, is designated exclusively for affordable rent, and is due to be handed over later this summer. Internal building work is more or less complete, with contractors turning their attention to the external works.
TAC director Dave Griffiths says: ‘The past few months has seen us face some challenges on site due to the unexpected insolvency of a key partner contractor, but we’re delighted that AGB has stepped in across our ongoing development works, all of which are well on their way again. We were delighted to hand over the Hoole Lane site – our third completion this year – and should see another three sites completed before the end of the year.’
Looking to the future we’re busy working up our first project with Weaver Vale Housing Trust and are delighted to welcome them to our growing list of clients. Work is also underway to secure planning consent for our major regeneration project near Carr Mill in St Helens which will see around 170 Homes built for Torus Group in the near future. Again we extend a warm welcome to Torus as another TAC client.
